The 12-minute ritual I do before checking my phone
I used to start my day checking Instagram. Then my notifications. Then my email.
Now I start it with 12 minutes of ritual that change the tone of my entire day.
Nothing extreme. No $200 products. No cold plunges. Just the boring, compound things that work.
MINUTES 1-3 · Wake
the first 3 minutes set the day
- No phone until ritual is done
- 500 ml warm water with lemon (flush the lymph)
- Open the window for 30 seconds (circadian reset)
- 30 seconds of slow breathing
- One thing you're grateful for (out loud)
MINUTES 4-8 · Skin & Lymph
5 minutes of touch
- Cleanse with cold water only
- 3 minutes of facial gua sha (the map above)
- Hydrating toner + essence, pressed with hands
- SPF (yes, even indoors)
- 2 squirts of hair oil on ends
MINUTES 9-12 · Fuel & Move
4 minutes of body
- Matcha or green juice (skip coffee for the first hour)
- 30 seconds of cat-cow stretches
- 1 minute of rebounding or jumping jacks
- Write the 3 things you'll do today
- NOW check your phone
